Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

Thank you for taking the time to visit!

Merry Christmas Ya'll

Merry Christmas to everyone! Christmas time is in our home all about our family and our small traditions. Decorating for the season is one of them and how it really brings us closer and the memories we get from this and where we were when we got our favorite holiday pieces. The other day my beautiful crow arrived what a wonderful piece of folk art from Starla Myers of Briar Rabbit Primitives. Check out her website to see more of her lovely pieces. She is a dear person and extremely talented. A great way to spend any Christmas cash! I took a picture of my huge piece (which came with embellishements) holding a vintage Christmas ornie. It is in our dining room window so everyone will enjoy it as we sit down to eat.
Whether your home is full of cherished holiday items or has one or two, it is all about being grateful for our blessings big and small.

Speaking of big and small blessings:

An update on the puppy and Henry. Well its been a week and 2 days and they can be in the same room together which is nice but Henry still feels put off by this lil creature. Archie is too cute to resist. Henry will not eat until the lil one is done but maybe Henry was not born to be an alpha dog and I will have to accept this.
Henry tries to have him chase him but the lil one is too afraid after a bit. BUT there are attempts and I cannot wait for 2 very silly funny faced boys are chasing each other around the house and yard. Oh Archie slept THANK YOU LORD til 6 30 this morn.

LUV little Archie snoozin! Ya know...when we adopted Chief last year, I just assumed my Phil would be the alpha dog too, but he is just soooo laid back that he is just not interested & is more than happy to let any of the others take that duty. My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
