Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

Henry had surgery on sunday

and i am beside myself.   unlike Archie, this was more serious. he was trembling on sat and sun morn. so we took him to the emergency vet. there in his stomach was a triangle shaped piece of wood or plastic. surgery went well but last night his heart rate dropped dangerously low. he was given medication for that and it helped.  he is being watched and maybe i can bring him home this evening.

i am terrified and frightened beyond as little sweet and soft Henry is my best friend and constant companion and has been for almost 10 yrs.

Poor Little Archie

its been one week since my little imp  has had surgery, a lump under is arm removed as it was growing and he had to have an anal gland removed as it was always impacted.   let me tell you this is not for the faint of heart.   He is suffering and it kills me.   today has been the happiest he's been and i think the meds are kicking in...

one think about Mr. Archie, sick or not, Henry will not be allowed to have a toy!   but dont worry about Henry, he gets lots of love from us all, even Archie.

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
