Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

Cleaning out the studio/garage and home

so i've decided to add some items to my etsy shop. Adding items that i use in making my figures, signs and folk art and adding collectible antiqtuey pieces i have in my home that i'm tired of and hope i wont reget releasing.

here are the items
perfect embellishments and trims for your vintage inspired folk art, doll, and bears
primitive shredders
I've got more than i'll use in years of vintage glitter! so here's some gold and some really hard to find blues
a vintage ice cream scooper for your old kitchen ware collectibles (like those shredders)
old sequins and beads for your mermaids and holiday folk art or whatever
and a sweet lil pink plastic 50's ???? tea set that was great for displaying with my lil imps, but you can only use the same displays for so long!
to reach my etsy shop just click on the button on the right of my blog or type carol roll nostalgic folk art in the etsy search.

After all this time, New Nostalgic Folk Art

I am finally feeling almost as good as new. The flu is serious and I'm going to take better precautions and i hope you do too. My son in Japan says that over there they wear face masks and he has co workers who wear them if they are sick. I might adopt that practice. Anyway here is some new work i've finally finished or just had the energy to finally load up on my site or on Etsy (click on the button to the right or just search Carol Roll Nostalgic Folk Art) Old Toy Bear
A Little Spring Surprise

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
