Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

In need of another vacation

after this stay in NC.    Love the mountains but not the deep woods, we stayed in a little 500 sq foot adorable cottage  and at first, well it came in and out, it was hard without Henry, it'll be 3 months soon, we saw a cardinal a couple of times and i felt it was him, but Archie seemed very happy for a bit, so that was wonderful     AND yes im typing like im talking      well he did until the neighbor's dog,    she was wonderful and sweet, kinda wild, she was always coming to visit us from the mountain,  i was really worried for her but she was older and big and knew her way, we played with her loved on her   even though she was full of fleas and ticks too.    she had a flea collar on but clearly it was useless and i did hug her and got a tick on my leg (wearing jeans so i only freaked a little)  sooooo anyway Archie was jealous and that became a problem as our little neighbor was attached to us and even though ARchie was sneaky and stealth, she never bit him, just yelled at him and would sit down to show him she meant no harm.     she was so smart.   she ended up rolling in something that smelled so vile we could smell it several yards away, we knew when she was coming or would lay under the porch. of course she wanted to snuggle but i could endure some issues but that smell no way.   but we still let her walk with us and stay under the porch or on the porch at a gentle distance.    i hated to say good by to her and Archie left her some boiled chicken (with the neighbors ok)     sooooooo   Archie was so annoyed at her yet was always looking for her,  i think she was good for him as he didnt have Henry around to torment or be tormented by.

i brought the camera and after the first day and a couple of pics i was just too busy so this is all i have to share

2 days up and Archie at the hotel

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
