Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

Thank you for taking the time to visit!

Its a beautiful day

even tho its a bit overcast, the garden is growing and the boys are doing pretty good.
sharing some garden pics and of course the bosties.

I had a picture of Henry sitting next to this old concrete boston, but lost the picture, it was before the peas came in, he wont sit there now. boo!
these tiny brussel sprouts are really good, and the leaves chopped and sauted are nice too
My friend who passed away last Oct, anyway this is a bush i planted to see her every day, i planted lavender around her and put a tiny concrete bench by her.

the bush should put out some orange blooms soon.

 a little visitor

feeling better and the hair surrounding his belly is growing back in, the ball near Henry is a rare thing. Archie usually hoards all the toys.

 Two peas

Have the best weekend!!!!

my love

good moments and not so good moments. surgery was hard on him and he's always been a sickly little fella. we are keeping him comfortable and loving him, working little by little and letting Henry jump, play, sleep, and hoping/knowing he has a good life and is loved so much. he may surprise us, he has before

this am resting

Couch Potatoes

this is how we are spending most of the time. Poor Henry is still recuperation and not his normal self. he had a rough go of it and still isnt eating normally among other things.

the laundry basket (there are two but pic doesnt show it) serves as a barrier for Henry not to jump, he isnt supposed to for 10 days but he has been a bit sneaky, jumping and playing. its nearly impossible to keep a Boston from springing around.  those moments of joy give me hope.

Thank God Archie is doing so well and is almost 100% back to his good health.   Henry is older and not as strong but he is a trouper and i am so proud of him and how gentle and loving he is.

down to 3 meds now

Thank you for your kind comments and emails you cannot know how much they mean.

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
