Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

Thank you for taking the time to visit!

And when your done visiting here, I'd love for you to check out my work on my etsy shop, www.etsy.com/shop/NostalgicFolkArt

went to the Mount Dora Rhennigers Antique Extravaganza!

the traffic line was the longest i've ever seen to get in to the most wonderful place to find the most beautiful antiques and vintage items.

it was cold in the am but was to warm up as the afternoon so Dan and i put on our hats and layered our clothing and off we went

it really is hard to take pics and search when your on a limited amount of time (we had to be back in a reasonable time to let the dogs out) so these are all the pics we took, i really did start out with good intentions to do more but we just got so involved it the quest for a few items.

exhausted and ready to get home on the long stretch home,  we had this view (yep i shared the blurry one for two reasons, the license plate number should not be shared and the other reason is obvious) it was a long 30 mins! giggle

we got some embellishments, and were shocked at the prices on old signs! so no big ticket items this year. we'll try again in Nov.

So Glad They're comfortable!!

Why is it the bosties prefer the vintage crochet piece as opposed to the soft cotton throw? they jump up on the couch and scratch and move around the old crochet spread (making holes in it by the way) and just snuggle up in it. I guess they have good vintage taste!!! but who could get mad at these two cuties? I love to see them together and enjoying the sun coming through the windows on such a cold day.

enjoy the pictures of my angels

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
