Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

Its Begining To Look Alot Like Christmas!

I bet a million blogs have opened up with that line! giggle oh well, this past weekend spent some time decorating for Christmas and listening to holiday music. It will be a toned down gift giving but as you can see I have enough stuff and have no desire for more. Well unless its a vintage Boston Terrier item or antique ornie.
Here are just a few pics that somewhat came out clear of some of our home Christmas decour. Unfortunately I'm too lazy to retake more.

Here is one of my older Nostalgic Folk Art santa's amoungst a collection of new and antique bottle brush trees

On our windowsill some vintage plastic santa and snowmen things with a Nostalgic Folk Art angel who didnt sell on ebay with some fun stuff.

Just an area in our tv room. Kinda overwhelming but I'm not quite the hoarder yet.

This year is going to be extra special as we are welcoming a new lil brother for Henry. His name is Archie and he will be home with us on the 13th. I have begun nesting for him and have gotten him a crate, puppy food, toys, bowl and a tiny winter coat. Eat your heart out Peanut!!!! Will you be his Godmother? giggle
Pictures will be forthcoming of course!
This is an extremely busy time for us so it will be awhile before I will update my blog so I am wishing everyone the best holiday possible!

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
