Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

Beautiful Folk Art Pieces

This gal is so danged talented! The folk art dolls she creates are amazing, they show her devotion to details and of course her talent. Her name is Patty Trevino and her business name is Dogpatch Primitives, you can click on it on my favorite blog sites (Tails from the Dogpatch) and see more of her wonderful original work.
This is an example of the great work offerred on the To Dwell In Primitive Thymes Mercantile. It is Halloween in August and there will be so many wonderful items to shop for!

Another talented artist from the group is Pam of GoldiLoo Woodworks, check out her website if you get a moment. Her signs are the best! She really knows how to stain and stress them to make her signs look like pieces from the past. Her work is in Country Sampler this month. You can see it as part of the home decor of a featured home. Here is a another teaser of the type of work offerred on The Merc this August!

Also check out the halloween pieces on E-Bay from To Dwell In Primitive Thymes gals this Sunday!

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
