Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

Hope you had a nice Independance Day!!

Back to "normal" for everyone but not at our home. i am sad to say, Henry has been so sick for a few months now. He had stomach surgery in Feb, and in April, his teeth cleaned and some tumors removed.  through blood work, his kidneys were elevating and so new foods and meds and those were of no help.

Many many vet and emergency vet visits and still Henry is vomiting some nights, and all day long his nose is running , sometimes he drools, and he spends his time laying down.

he is at the vets right now, getting a nose culture to see if they can figure out what kind of infection he has.   it might be infected because his stomach fluid, keeps coming up his nose.    so he's on carafate and wondering when this will kick in as previous antibiotics did not help.

we may have to travel out of town to a specialist and if that doesnt work, we have to make a hard decision.

as for little Archie, he is also at the vets with Henry today, he has a tumor that has more than doubled its size in 2 weeks! there were "suspicious" cells there and it was recomended to be removed.
there is no fear in my heart for Archie as he is strong and happy go lucky and it was discovered quickly.

anyway i'm trying so hard to get back to work, i just finished some little folk art chicks, working slowly on a bear and scary halloweenie, but my heart is so heavy and i'm frightened. frightened for my little angel who softly kisses me as i cry watching him so sick, who stays by my side throught the day, who checks up on me before he goes outside, who has never given me a moments problem, who slept with me on the couch for those many months i was so sick and would not move until i did, who fills my heart with so much love and proof of God.

Thanks for letting me have an outlet to vent and cry.

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
