Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

A Few Of My Favorite Things

The decorations are down and house is somewhat back in some sort or order. Dogs still not besties but progress has been made so my heart isnt so heavy with that. Anyway I am in a group, TDIPT or To Dwell In Primitive Thymes that has close to 50 folk artists as members, And I am very blessed to have some of thier work in my home. I am waiting for a doll from Dogpatch Primitives (should come in any day now)but these are some of my favorite pieces. ( I already have shown my beautiful teddy from Brady Bears sitting on a prim chair my hubs made)

The artists work are the larger crow by Starla Myers of Briar Rabbit Primitives, The smaller crow looking down by Patty Kelly Trevino of DogPatch Primitives, The Raggedy Ann styled doll by Cookie DeGreve of Curds N Whey and The Cardinal by Karen Pender of CountryFolks Keepsakes. Check out their blogs and sites as they really have some beautiful, adorable, prim and lovely work.

And speaking of favorite things, poor Henry allows Archie to walk all over him. But they are working it out.

OMG after I posted this I took them outside as the artic air had warmed up somewhat and Archie did his puppy bullying and after a bit Henry felt confident and rolled him. As a human I have to realize that is a normal dog thing but as a mom it is hard. They did pretty good out there and kinda just sat near each other for the most part. It was so nice. And Archie slept til 5 30 this am. yay.

Awwww... Henry is being a good big brother, letting Archie jump on his head. ♥ But I'm sure when Archie gets out of hand er I mean paw, Henry will put him in his place.
    Keep those pics coming!!

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
