Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

Aren't Grand Babies The Sweetest!!!

One day I hope to be in the best club ever! I hope to be blessed someday with a grandbaby. Some of my friends are there already and to hear them talk about the joys their grandkids bring them, well it is inspiring and uplifting.

My friend Andrea has the cutest grandson Owen who really knows how to turn it on when the camera is aimed at his very expressive face. What a pout he has and it's all I can do not to just pinch his cheeks!

My other dear friend Patty has a gorgeous granddaughter Zoey. Not only is she beautiful on the outside but she is a dear heart too. She took a picture showing her with a of a piece inspired by her and it was sent to me. What a sweet gesture and man did it make my day! How blessed to have a kind hearted child!

  1. Yes that Zoey is a doll! And that little boy, well, I would have to pinch his little cheeks, what a cutie.~~Pam

  3. Carol, you are the kindest person I know! Thank you for always being so sweet. You are a rare gem. The mermaid is something Zoey and I will treasure for the rest of our lives.

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
