Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

Thank you for taking the time to visit!

Struggling with Henry being gone

but Archie is keeping me going.  Today we got him some special treats and a new toy.  He has been wandering looking for Henry inside and out,

and rolling in the areas where Henry laid in the sun and even where he pee peed
my heart breaks more to see this and he hasnt been eating as much. time is the great healer for all of us.   I put a bunch of heart shaped rocks from the garden near the vine that had the beautiful bloom

the little paper heart filled with wild flower seeds, his vet gave us was put near the avacado tree where he would sit sometimes

Dr Henderson his vet is the most wonderful angel with a staff of angels as well, she gave a memorandum in Henry's name to her school.

He is on my mind so much and i know he is free and doing good.  Time is what we all need.

I'm trying and am working on some pieces that i started before his passing. Its so hard

moving things around the house again here are some pics to share and we will be painting the floors white also found a vintage street sign before he left us and have it on the wall . its doesnt make me sad but happy for the time we had together and how important he is to us always.

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
