Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

Thank you for taking the time to visit!

WE GOT OUR POWER BACK!

OMG what an experience, the east coast really dodged a bullet as "they " say and our west coast really got it bad so prayers all around.

some of my neighbors are still without power

we had our windows open after Irma was at a safe distance and you would be shocked at how much debris comes through the screens,   how do leaves get through there??   sand inside and our sheets were like sleeping on the beach ( a bit of exaggeration)  so very happy to do lots of laundry.

AND so happy to go to the grocery store with a promise to myself to keep my fridge clean and simple without clutter.

Ok so the boys handled the storm ok, Archie is scared of everything poor lil thing but he and Henry did manage. i would water them down with a spritz bottle to make sure they were cool as you know short snouts have difficulty in the heat.

btw for those of you who cannot tolerate a cold shower, i saved all the empty water bottles, filled them up with tap water, set them outside in the hot sun, then used them in the tub/shower, it worked pretty well.

reluctantly i am sharing a picture Dan took of me on day 3 without power/air and me holding a fan on Henry so the old queen could take his afternoon nap. yeesh he is spoiled      Archie had a smaller fan but he had to be tricked and it had to be further from him.

ok i know i look crazy but i just didnt care so exhausted from the heat and the mess (you can see the sand and a little debris on my floor i didnt crop that out)

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
