Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

Thank you for taking the time to visit!

We had a little visitor on Saturday

Brooke came by to help make meatloaf for our monthly church pot luck lunch.  We had some fun and she really liked the boys Henry and Archie and cutting flowers for her sisters and mom.

we cooked, played with the dogs, enjoyed the garden and made some art projects, plus we ate way too much junk.    this must be what having grandchildren is like   losts of fun  then the parents take them home. giggle

anyway thought i'd share some pics and if i can figure out how to share a video little Brooke made i'll add that as well even though its not very flattering to me and i can be very vain at my old age.

Oh will also put new work on as well, a dog , little imp and kitchen witch piece.

also will be adding some ornaments too i think

Dan and Brooke in the garden

flowers she cut and put together for her mom and sisters it kept growing and growing this colorful bouquet

Archie with the ball waiting for Brooke to throw it .

there was this wonderful encounter with a butterfly, it kept fluttering near Brook like a bird! it was amazing, it wasnt afraid at all and followed Brooke around, i was lucky to capture pictures of this butterfly

Brooke wanted to cut the flower with the butterfly and keep it.  She got the flower but the butterfly just wanted to flitter around as butterflies do.

Old Henry was on high alert giggle and rightly so!   Brooke wanted to play play play

ears back and listening for little girl footsteps

our loaves of meatloaf

OMG isnt this the best selfie!!! DARLING! wait i just realized those are my glasses heee eeee

We giggle at the expressions she makes

 like a Norman Rockwell kid
hahahaha the boys are worn out!

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
