Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

Thank you for taking the time to visit!

Back from vacation in NC and GA

back home and so exhausted but have to load some work on my etsy shop and thought i'd add our vacation pics to share

so we stayed at a little tiny home cottage approx 1200 square feet including a loft, we brought the dogs as always and thought as Henry has had a rough time of it, it may be his last  one and he loves to travel and gets so excited on vacation as we all just chill and hang out together.

we got to do lots of antiquing and and just enjoy the cottage and the dogs and life in general. I lost my dear friend in oct and Dan lost a very good friend in July and  just yesterday his dear dear friend lost his several years battle with cancer yesterday morning. so i guess this happens at our ages, we are in our silver years and my truth has been to release things i dont need and to release people who are too difficult to deal with, and it may be not because they are awful, but it may be i just dont have the ability to understand them.

so here are my personal pics, hope you enjoy them, something about being in the country makes my heart calm and strengthens my faith in God.

Loading up and heading out

 beautiful little cottage

no way i could climb up there but Dan said it was beautiful

Poor little Henry, but we discovered was the food for his kidneys is too rich for him and made him so sick, i think he got pancreatic problems from it, so we stopped all his meds which he was taking for all these symptoms (as one night he just shook and drooled and cried, the meds helped him for that)and just gave him plain chicken and his regular food and he is doing so much better, sigh another appt on mon to let dr know, we to do something else for his kidneys.
small but feels so spacious, love the white wood

this view was so inspiring and made me so grateful for having Dan and Kipp and the lil ones

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
