Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

Well its all over and i'm exhausted!

we got back on sat. night from Pa driving for almost 14hrs after a 4 hr traffic delay!!! and with Kipp leaving for Ecuador i had to start putting our decorations away. it would be too emotional after he left.




i think i was overly tired and got almost all put away.

got our mail today and received this wonderful surprise from Susan Schwake! Art For All Seasons book with my lil Hiking Bear in it.  There are so many activities for children and ideas for adults as well. a great gift for you and your child with so much fun and creativity!  There are so many projects here with 144 pages and here are some pics. my apologies for my terrible picture taking.

    Happy New Year, dear friend.
    I have taken all Christmas down too - a few weeks sooner than normal, but hubs is painting all woodwork in the house and I just felt it would be easier to move the furniture without worrying about breakage. Praying for Kipp as he heads to Ecuador. I have several dear friends that served as missionaries in both Quito and in the "bush" - ministering to the headhunters that killed 5 men in mid 1950's.
    Wishing for blessing abounding in 2015 ... and praying for restoration of logical thinking in our once great country! Love you, Jinx
