Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

Thank you for taking the time to visit!

And when your done visiting here, I'd love for you to check out my work on my etsy shop, www.etsy.com/shop/NostalgicFolkArt

Wroclaw, Poland so beautiful!

In last Friday am and still foggy, but Kipp is back in the states and we had a wonderful time in Poland. Wroclaw is a hidden gem and we saw such beauty and elegance, culture and history full of beautiful people.

anyway i'm sharing a ton of pictures, hope you enjoy them!

Dan checking in to the hotel, he looks pretty good after all those hours traveling!

half of the lobby area

one of our views
figuring out all the extras, there was no need to flip lights on, it was footstep sensitive

a courtyard view of our hotel           Puro Hotel   highly recommended!

lots of ancient architecture and some included in newer structures, really awe inspiring

more old buildings that survived the bombs from WWII
 random pics of the city

i noticed there were lots and lots of flowers everywhere!

these Gnomes were everywhere and all were representing something!

the pink building was a narrow apt bldg, so pretty!

typical salad there, pickled somethings, very good

Deciding on what to eat at one of Kipp's spots

we went with Perogies 3 different types and of course sauerkraut that was broiled and seasoned

Where Kipp worked

we met some of his co workers for one last (we thought) visit

more of Kipp's co workers. they were the sweetest!!!!! and same old grey t shirt with polka dots as our luggage was lost for 2 days.

 at the flower market

lots of eagles and lots of German influence throughout

there was so much pride in the food/service here, everything we ate everywhere was so pretty and so tastey!

exhausted but there was so much to see!

i'm obsessed with these gnomes and kept looking for them, which wasnt hard

as a surprise Kipp got us a lock and key like they do in Paris, so sweet of him and here Dan and i signed it, locked it and threw the keys away!

That was the most wonderful!

 at the market

this was just stunning! a HUGE dragonfly on a bldg, its wings stained glass

at a university overlooking the city

we were laughing at this beer truck with a hose leading to the restaurant down the street!!!!

unusual foods (for us anyway) i loved this spread of pure fat and pork!

lots of pics i know!

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
