Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

A Great Get A Way

Kipp will be leaving in a lil bit and i had to go to Ga (Main Street Gallery) and drop off some work for Folk Fest, so we just made this a long weekend get a way. we stayed at this little cottage and it was pure heaven. I am so ready to just live off the grid and this lil place just did it for me. we antiqued and ate out and just were quiet enjoy the pictures

loved the outdoor feel of the main room

i really wanted to raid this garden, there were tons of green tomatoes that needed frying
Henry and Archie loved exploring and Henry tried to play with a rabbit

so we head out to Clayton Ga and Main Street Gallery to drop off the goods

Tired and ready for some dinner food.
 Highlands NC and the view

farmers market with the line of cars all the way on the highway we had to check it out

they had honey bees there so sweet

back and resting from the long and fun day Henry loved just sitting on Kipp's lap
there were baby birds in this gourd and they would poke their open beaks out one at a time for food and the mom and dad would swoop down and feed them bugs. it was my favorite event
 flea market time!
this man sold so many of these pumpkins his wife made! that made me so happy!
looky here, saw one of these in bad shape on American Pickers, his in mint in bag! I bought an Indian head from him
 more antiquing

Archie just chilling for a minute
Our last night we went to The Dillard House and see the menu options, well you  get all that! you dont choose
 for starters
 the view
some food for the 3 of us tastey southern salty gravey goodness

there are cottages you can rent there as well

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
