it was a full weekend and we were so glad to see Tee. She has had the worst 2 yrs anyone could think of she survived breast cancer, chemo and radiation, all while dealing with her beloved and amazing husband of many years going thru Parkinsons associated with dementia. She survived, he did not and passed last month. Her strength is amazing and unwaivering still. She handled everything and all details. I think of my mom and all the things she is dealing with and has for years(but that's another story for another time) and it just reminds me of that cliche line, "God only gives you what you can handle" It may be cliche but maybe its true. Anyway Tee is handling life as she always has with a vengance!
Friday night at the Jimmy Harper Gallery here in Ormond Beach, Carlene McConell had an opening. She is a well known local Florida artist who has been published and well loved. I must crow i am blessed to have a painting she did just for me!) I met her thru Tee.
Anyway we got to the gallery waaaaaay to early so we decided to have dinner across the street at Caffine, a local hipster place, and as we walked in who did we see? Another well known artist and her hubs, Margaret Schnebly Hodge and Larry Hodge. Margaret has deep roots here and her work is Everywhere fine art is. Nope i dont have any of her work, not yet anyway.

My dinner was not good, no dressing on my salad and the tuna bland, Dan and Tee's pizza was good but....
anyway back to the opening, here's Carlene talking with one of her admirers.

On to Saturday, and dropping off work at the Florida Museum for Women Artists
and then off to Mount Dora to drop work off and take some back that hadn't sold, looks like i need to do some ebaying soon.

Sunday morning
our usual sun morn walk on the beach, btw, those are Kipp's old flip flops and although 2 sizes bigger i love to wear them.
