Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.
Thank you for taking the time to visit!
And when your done visiting here, I'd love for you to check out my work on my etsy shop, www.etsy.com/shop/NostalgicFolkArt

Nostalgic Folk Art offering on The Mercantile
Here are my Christmas Offerrings this month on the To Dwell In Primitive Thymes Mercantile. Check out the new primitive offerrings listed on this site. There are so many talented artisans there!
Been a busy week or two!
Ok this is a really really bad picture of me but Tee looks good and so I'll take a bullet for her giggle. Geeze my neck looks sooo... well I know what I'll look like as a granny in a few years. Oh maybe that look is from lugging that heavy necklace around! Thats my excuse! ANYWAY
Last weekend was the Deland Art Festival and Tee and I stopped by to check it out and visit with a friend of hers. Here are some pics of the art show and the Florida Museum of Women Artists.
Lil gal playing the fiddle and she was really good!
Katherine Peterson who runs the musuem. She's so much fun and adorable! Wish my pics would of come out better.
Oh my they sell Nostalgic Folk Art there giggle
This is Tony Savoie and he makes the best mixed media paintings around and by far my favorite artist there!
Oh if I only had the $3,000 + to buy this gorgeous picture of a Boston Terrier! I screamed when I saw it! He really does amazing work!
Well Tee and I didn't take other photos as its a tricky thing at an art show most(myself and Tee included) don't like it. I did ask his permission of course and he was really cool about it all. check out his work at www.tonysavoie.com!
Deland is such a quaint lil town and a great spot for antiquing, eating and drinking!

Shocked and Horrified
Please pray for and keep in your thoughts the families and brave soldiers who were cowardly murdered and wounded at Fort Hood. This is such an unbelievable tragedy.

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly
"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
