Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

Thank you for taking the time to visit!

And when your done visiting here, I'd love for you to check out my work on my etsy shop, www.etsy.com/shop/NostalgicFolkArt

Hope you had a nice long weekend!

So hot here in Florida but i managed to get out and plant a new gardenia bush/tree and fill a vintage metal planter i picked up at a yard sale.

what do you think? Want to make it more like a the country not the beach, so i'll take any suggestions for additions or let me know what you have on your front porch.

hoping the succulents will survive with the regular plants

also getting the last of our cherry tomatoes, the garden, because of the heat here is pretty much done and that is what got me planting something in the front to soften the blow of losing my sweet vegetable garden.

A great Mother's Day!

Sharing some photos of our day together in Mt. Dora. We went to this amazing Victorian Cottage shabby decorated spot. the floors were stone and had some decor on them, every inch was wonderful!
Then we went to When Pigs Fly again primitive antique shop, which was guarded by an little chihauha/Italian greyhound so cute!!!! Hope you enjoy our pics!

Picking mom up at her house.
she always wants to break off a piece of a plant for me to transplant.
we sat outside under a huge white tent as the place was crowded with people taking their moms here.
anyway the cart was full of flowers and they had pitchers of teas and lemonade there
I kept pointing things out to my mom but she was so distracted by all the beauty and loved it all!
look at the flooring, there were huge leaf imprints in a trail here.
giggle Dan sitting through all this. you should of seen the men to women ratio on this day!note even the table clothes are victorian and vintage.
We got here early and as we were in mid meal the place filled up the those who made reservations

this was delicious, a carrot and ginger soup! who would of thought!!!!

Welp its monday and back to work for me! Have a great week everyone!

Happy Mother's Day

Hoping this is a lovely weekend for everyone!

The neighborhood boys before they all took off a couple years ago, my son, Kipp is far right in the green tee. When i was a young mother people told me how fast it all goes, they were right!

Kipp was the easiest and sweetest baby and child, what seemed at times hard to do (all the things mom's do) now at this older and somewhat wiser age I wish I could have him as a baby all over again!

my mom had it rough and she is one of the strongest people i know. all of my kitchen witches and odes to mothers are my tribute to her and all she has done and would do for me and my family today.
She is amazing and my muse.

This was one of my very first Women Warriors, Fierce Mamas, (Kitchen Witch) figures sooooo long ago.

Thanks to all the strong and loving moms out there!

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
