Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.
Thank you for taking the time to visit!
And when your done visiting here, I'd love for you to check out my work on my etsy shop, www.etsy.com/shop/NostalgicFolkArt

Gonna miss this!
Well i am going to miss my boy, Kipp as he is leaving for Poland next month for his next adventure. He is a young man and is living his life on his terms and doing things most of us dream about. He is in no hurry to settle down, i tell him he hasnt met the right person to make him want to yet. Kipp has the adventurous spirit in him, like my father did. My dad traveled throughout by himself before settling down with my mom when he was almost 30 and in those days 30 was like 60.
Why is it when we are young we want to hurry up and be set in the typical family situation, i mean dont we all dream of meeting someone and having a small pink block home with our 2 children, one boy one girl our poodle and living happily ever after. I am an older gal and that was my dream, only i thought i would be married to David Cassidy and sell Avon part time hee hee. Actually i am living that dream pretty much except i sell my paper mache figures and have 2 Boston Terriers.
so Kipp is a great cook and last night he made this pork dish he loved while he was in Japan and he made won ton soup. i could smell it cooking as i worked in my studio and finally Viola this is what he served us.
and it was so good!!!!!

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly
"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
