Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

For Immediate Release

Living Room Legends: Chats with TV's Famous Faces is a new book written by Eddie Lucas.
This book is full of nostalgic information and conversation with those talented stars of shows we saw when we baby boomers were kids. Mr. Lucas has gotten behind the scenes details, trivia and lots of great photos.

Stars from shows like The Andy Griffith Show, Gomer Pyle USMC, The Beverly Hillbillies, The Danny Thomas Show, The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Flying Nun, Green Acres, Here's Lucy, The Jetsons, The Munsters, The Phyllis Diller Show amoung others.

Some of the intervies and stories involve so many great entertainers and I'm naming names, Jim Nabors, Donna Douglas (Elly May), Rose Marie (Dick Van Dyke Show and Hollywood Squares), Shelley Morrison (Flying Nun, Will & Grace), Ronnie Schell (Gomer Pyle and several 70's shows), Lucie Arnaz,Phyllis Diller (worth the purchace of the book!) and more actors who you'd remember from your favorite sitcoms, game show regulars and television specials.

Mr. Lucas says " As a classic TV Fan and historian, I wanted t find out more about some of our favorite TV shows and the stars that generations of us have grown up watching. I wanted to ask the types of questions that sometimes run around in the back of your mind when you're watching a particular show or celebrity - the kind that diehard, as well as casual fans would ask if given the opportunity. It was also important for me to hear what they had to say in their own words, in order to keep what they had to say intact, and not filtered through a press agent or whittled down to fit into a newspaper or magazine article, because many times in those situations, the essence of what they have to say is lost. So I chose and oral history/commentary as a way to preserve the historical significance of their time on some of the most beloved shows on TV"

Mr. Lucas is a native Floridia and lives in Central Florida.
He is a writer, educator and vintage TV historian and a 1983 graduate of University of Central Florida.

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
