Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

Under the sea Mermaid

just added to my Etsy shop.

working on Christmas pieces and wondering if i should list them now along with some others that i made last season.

well i'm gonna speak from the heart,  i hear from people friends family customers neighbors and it seems like we all are dealing with something and so i just want to say to the handful of people who stop by here and read my blog,  you we are not alone no matter what you or i are going thru no matter whether the trial is fixable or not.  Bad things happen to good people all the time and you and i both know wonderful people who have had terrible things happen to them  destroyed health, loss of property, jobs, spouses, friends.  We all want a reason to make easier to digest but there is no reason. A really wonderful person said there would always be suffering. sometimes its our time. no this doesn't mean to make it easier cause sometimes nothing can, throughout history good people have had terrible things befall them, there are artists, sports people, leaders, inventors, even the disciples had it tough. if it can happen to those why not you and me.  for me faith is the only remedy that there is. i wish i could give you a hug and help you but i encourage you to have hope in your future and that this rough time your going thru  your faith will give you that hope. your happiness gives me happiness too.

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
