Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

new work

just added this Sunbather to my etsy shop

and i thougt i'd add a funny pic of the old queen Henry very comfortable at bedtime.
Yes he sleeps in the bed with me and Dan and it started over 8 yrs ago when we brought little Archie home. Boy i cant tell you how angry Henry was, for days he had nothing to do with us, he'd eat and hide behind our bar stools, he stopped coming when called, (still doesnt) just the saddest little dog, so as a treat we put him in bed with us at night and soon he came around, tho it took several years for him to fully forgive us, anyway we have tried to train him back into his crate, to no avail, he just cries and cries soooooo Dan and i havent had a good night a truly good nights sleep in over 8 yrs. very rare exceptions for sure.   But i wouldnt care if i never slept completely if Henry could live as long as me.

for some reason this tiny 19lb dog takes up the whole bed as we cling to each side and and the view from above would be the letter H. of course the old queen (and you know why he is called the old queen if youve read my blog for years or know me )  as he has aged he has gotten a doggie form of menapause as he gets hot then cold, under the covers over the covers   giggle so  heres the pic of me and Henry waiting for Dan to finish brushing his teeth and turn the lights off.

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
