Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

With all this time

im still forcing myself to work!   im obsessed with finding info on this Wuhan Virus as it seems we get more info on it almost daily,    A terrible terrible thing happening to the world.   Im so grateful to live in the United States and see how people are coming together to help one another.   Its so good to always have a pocket of hope even when loved ones are struggling to get you through your trials.

Looking out my window i can see a bird bath with a concrete boy sitting on a turtle    its so beautiful  so aged and the patina is lovely. There are a pair of blue jays that love that bird bath and its so funny to see them "play" with a squirrel when he tries to take a drink as well.  Noticing more things like that and even my little bundle of energy Archie, making more time to play with him and letting him know how loved he is.    Oh and cooking with Dan, making menus that stretch our pantry has actually been fun not scary at all.  Looking on youtube for recipes from the depression or just for rice and noodle cassaroles.  We are not venturing out at all for a while.

also spending time planning garden layouts or bonai gardens.    re looking at old magazines and dreaming.

I know people are suffering and its awful, that will never change as long as the world spins, some times its my family sometimes its yours.  No one unfortunately goes unscathed.        Kindness goes a long way.

well here's some pics of Archie as its been a bit and its a hard moving target!!!!!

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
