Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

and on the 3rd day we got great news!

Archie is with Henry!    For those handful of folks who follow my blog, when Henry passed away almost a year and half ago, a vine on our fence had a crown of thorns passion flower that bloomed when we got home from losing him, it was astonishing,   we named the vine Henry,     that Easter at church we bought a pot of Easter Lillies from Archie in honor of Henry      and planted them next to Henry's vine.     This am right where Archie's lilies were planted this happened   (there was also a butterfly there on the vine)

They are really together and God is watching over them!   my heart is healing because of this i cant tell you how wonderful seeing this made me feel    i cut the flower and am letting it dry and it will be with Henry's flower with their ashes when we get Archies.

also got this plant as it reminded me of Archie if he could be a flower this is it!

Though its so hard to lose a beloved pet, i know we we meet again an that is so comforting.   God Bless us all.

Archie is meeting Henry this am

His condition is worsening and we cant bear to see him falling and other issues, his discs in his spine and neck are compressing into his spinal cord. the wheels  worked to great the first time out but this am he was struggling and falling to the side      We knew today was the day.       Im at peace with the decision we tried all we could for him, he had a good life and was/is so loved.     This am we saw a cardinal, i know that was Henry telling us he's waiting for Archie.

Taking a little bit of time off

With Archie not doing too well, and his wheelchair coming today, i need to spend as much time with him as possible.    not sure how long until his back legs are completely paralyzed as they will only get worse and right now he cant stand for long periods of time, he leans left and is falling here and there.   the wheel chair will let him walk and play but we will have to work on a schedule for him.    Archie loves to play lives to play and chase his ball, so we will give him that for as long as possible.

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
