Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business. I feel so blessed and thankful to God for being able to make these little pieces and hope they make you smile.

Spring is here and the turtles are back

of course the squirrels never left and the blue jays are struggling with them for peanuts i throw out each am.      the squirrels almost always win

also finished and listed on my Etsy shop  2 more tea time figures     i just love the little tea sets and have to use them hope you like the pieces as well

The Wisteria  is worth the wait. There are some things on this planet that remind me we are loved and gifted with beautiful things all around us and to look at them for comfort in difficult times  even in times when outcomes are not good for the time being.  and yea my family is going through some things with out comes that won't get better but time is a gift for us all and a group of ladies once shared with me Kindness Matters

there are 4 squirrels that just love to beg for peanuts, one will take from my hand i wish i could see the difference in them but they are so quick      here is one digging a hole to hide a peanut     they are so funny when they cover their treasures and pat the dirt with their little hands   i used to dislike them but now i think they are cute      maybe its time for another dog  i sure could use a little boston but now probably isnt the right time.

i feed the turtles bananas and strawberries they love them!   this one is speedy i can tell by his size and his shell has a bit of a dent in it   he will acutally "run" across the lawn to our back porch area if he sees us for a treat.     i didnt realize turtles could have personality as well!

ok well here's my new work

i wish everyone feels love comfort and hope

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
