Nostalgic Folk Art was born in 2004. I came up with Nostalgic Folk Art name for my paper mache figures because I love the older things that remind me of my childhood and of innocent times. They are figures of folks both childish and impish and I love vintage folk art so putting nostalgic with folk art was/is a perfect and fitting name for my lil figures and business.

Thank you for taking the time to visit!

And when your done visiting here, I'd love for you to check out my work on my etsy shop,

I really really really wish i would take the time to sew but since i wont and i cant i love to make lil paper mache figures that resemble those old worn raggedy sewn toys and here is a silly and sweet lil elephant

Halloween is a bit away but i do love to work on holiday figures here and there. Trying a new format and extended that to the mermaid figure as well

Still enjoying the Royal buzz and here is a Paper Queen,

Check out To Dwell in Primitive Thymes Mercantile tonight where all the gals who upload on the first of each month will have new lovely and prim works.

Two New Nostalgic Folk Art figures

I've decided to put on my blog my new figure(s) after i add them to my website. My art friends always tell me i dont promote myself enough and this is a good way to do so. I get kinda embarrassed about it all and like some of my work more than others, but sometimes the pieces i think are not that great acutally sell before the ones i adore. Anyways blah blah blah, here are a couple of new figures.

Baby's First Big Girl Tooth and Chikn Little.

A couple of silly lil things!

My Boys!

Henry wondering where is he hiding and on guard. BTW can you see what these lil ones have done to the grass in the back yard. Its like we own a herd of buffalo!

Here's my precious nutsy Archie

Poor Henry worn out from being chased by his lil brother

an Artifacts Tease

Opening soon in Eureka Springs Ar. a new and exciting gallery featuring fine art, folk art,and antiques. Be on the look out for Artifacts. More on this later and here are some pics of the place before and during renovations.

My First Written Review/Kinda like your first dollar, I treasure this dearly

"Carol Roll is a relative new-comer, creating folk art for four years, now. Her paper mache figures reflect significant talent. At first glance, her angels, people, mermaids, and animals may appear cute and dear. At closer look, they are sophisticated, with detailed, expressive faces, each unique. Roll's work is anything but mass produced. It's the real deal. "
